Cheating dreams can be infuriating, worrisome and the cause of many a slap across the face first thing in the morning. In fact, in a recent survey I conducted, with over 5000 participants, the cheating dream came in as the #1 most common dream! As upsetting as these dreams can be, the good news is that they rarely indicate that your mate is getting his or her pleasures elsewhere. They do suggest, however that something rather than someone is taking the time and attention from your mate that you feel you deserve.
The following dream is the perfect example of how the cheating dream runs rampant through our collective psyche… and why! This is from my nationally syndicated newspaper column The Dream Zone:
Dear Lauri,
Since my boyfriend and I started dating over 2 years ago, I constantly have dreams that he’s either cheating on me or that he’s leaving me for another girl. I’m sure he’s not cheating in real life so why am I having these dreams all the time? – Kira 28, Wausau
Lauri: Since you’re certain your boyfriend is as loyal as a Labrador, let’s figure out the other reasons you might be getting these dreams. Is there something else in his life that you are a bit jealous of? Work? The X Box? Is he in a band? Once you can pinpoint what it is that feels like a third wheel in the relationship, it’s time to compromise. Offer to give up or cut back on something your mate isn’t a big fan of if he promises to cut back on the activity that is causing you to feel left out. If you both stick to the compromise, you’ll find that the dreams will stop.
Kira replies: That makes perfect sense! It is definitely our jobs. My boyfriend and I work often and our shifts are always changing so we aren’t able to spend much time together. I know I feel guilty about working long hours many days in a row and I’m sure he does too. Maybe it’s time for a career change! Thank you, I feel much better!
When you can understand the symbolism in your dreams, they wont freak you out anymore. Like Kira, you’ll feel much better too! You’ll also be able to see that they are giving you extremely important messages you need to know to improve your behavior, your relationships, your current issues and your life! It’s a much bigger deal to be able to understand your dreams than you think. If you had a copy of Dream On It on your nightstand, you’d be able to figure out your dreams every single morning!
“This book is fantastic! It’s like having a therapist at your fingertips without the charge.”

BTW, I'm the one with the deepsealien address.
I've sent them from my alternate email address.
Did you also get my email about that dream creature? If not, may I include it as an attachment? Also, I am definitely going to look into writing if not a book, at least a document on those creatures and their planet (which at least from Sundays' dream last nights' dream were mechanical, even the planet!) How freaky is that?!? However, the first dream gave me really neat idea for a "documentary". More on that later.
Do i send them to thedreamzone?
you are so right about that will not.
I did not. Can you resend them please?
I had a rather funny (from a waking perspective at least) that my CAT was cheating on me with another white cat! But in the dream I was feeling quite distressed, much like Kira. I found out why I was feeling the way I was. My cat would typically sleep on the foot of my bed, but she had been finding a clothes hamper to sleep in because the other cats we have would come into my room and eat her food much neither of us liked! However, the cats we had would also fight with her if she were left out of my room all night. The cat was white (my guess) is because it symbolized that this was a new behavior of hers, but also because the towel she liked to sleep on was…WHITE! While this doesn't sound like too big of a deal in waking life, my dreaming mind was telling me "YES IT IS A BIG DEAL!" because if she wasn't in my room I'd freak out trying to find her AND the other cats would fight with her. That and she did keep me company, much like a mate does.
Funny isn't it? But quite important.
BTW, you can include my dreams on your site as well if you find one interesting. Also did you get my questions for the blog?
